Thank You to Dunshea House at Carey Baptist Grammar School

Thank you so much to Dunshea house at Carey Baptist Grammar School for inviting us to speak at your annual House Chapel Service in May. Our Chairperson (and the 2014 Dunshea House Captain) Annie delivered a powerful speech on how the CARASA Foundation came to be and our work with Freeset.
The Dunshea students, families and staff all listened and engaged wholeheartedly and donated generously. Through the sale of our jute bags and pencil cases alone, we raised a massive $484! Combined with sales… Dunshea donated an incredible total of $1681.45

This phenomenal community effort will go a long way in helping Freeset to continue providing their employees with a living wage, and also towards initiatives to provide education and healthcare for the women and their families.

If you are a student or member of a community who would like to learn more about how the young people of CARASA are making a difference and to fundraise with us, feel free to send us a FB message or email inquiry.

If you take anything away today from what I’ve said I hope it’s this: Change starts with you. Small change creates big changes – Annie Poulsen (Board member and Chairperson of the CARASA Foundation, addressing students of her former high school).
