Blue Dragon

Their vision:

“Blue Dragon’s vision is a world where all children are safe, can attend school, play, be treated with respect, be heard, be understood, and be loved.”

Their purpose:

“Blue Dragon’s purpose is to provide exceptional care to Vietnamese children and families in crisis while creating long- term change for a better world.”

Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation began in Vietnam in 2002 when Michael Brosowski, an Australian teacher, unexpectedly met and began teaching English to a group of shoeshine boys who walked the streets of Hanoi trying to earn enough money to survive. The foundation’s reach and understanding of the dangers that street children face grew through friends and then volunteers. In 2005, Michael and a law student volunteering for Blue Dragon rescued a trafficked 13 year old boy from the streets of Ho Chi Minh City, the first of many rescued children.

In January 2021, Blue Dragon hit a major milestone of 1000 people rescued from exploitation and slavery.
