The pandemic has impacted us all in different ways and we want to thank you for your patience and trust while supporting the CARASA Foundation over the past three years. Amidst the pandemic in 2021, Freeset India underwent a rebranding and restructuring into a new organisation named Joyya. While Joyya is still doing great work, they have a different focus to the CARASA Foundation.
Today, we are very excited to announce that the CARASA Foundation is starting a new chapter in our mission to help free children and women from slavery. After much research and many meetings amongst the board members, the CARASA Foundation are proud to begin supporting the work of Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation.
Blue Dragon are an organisation based in Hanoi, Vietnam who work to stop human trafficking, with a focus on ending child and sex trafficking. Established in 2004, their work is expansive and can be summarised in three parts:
1. Prevention – Across Vietnam, they work with high-risk communities to prevent trafficking before it happens. Their main strategy involves specialised teams finding children who are alone on the streets and offering them shelter, family reunion, education, and health care.
2. Rescue – Vietnamese children and women are commonly trafficked to China and Myanmar where they are sold into the commercial sex trade or are forced to become brides. Working alongside the police, Blue Dragon rescues people from slavery and helps them to start over.
3. Law reform – Through partnerships and collaborations with government agencies, Blue Dragon advocates to reform laws in order to strengthen the country against trafficking.
100% of your donations will be going towards Blue Dragon’s work. Check out their fantastic website here: https://www.bluedragon.org/

To our new friends at Blue Dragon, we look forward to working with you and helping give people the freedom, respect, and life opportunities that we all deserve.
